Dear friends and members of SDPGA,
Its a great honour and privilege to be the President of sdpga the elite think tank and the leading association, and the future hope of every govt doctors.
SDPGA is formed by a team of dedicated doctors with a track record of 25 years of contribution right from our student days.
We have also been the guardians of doctors welfare,a watchdog, and the backbone of the former association.
Disillusioned and demoralised we were,they gave us a boost by expelling our chennai DT office bearers. Then you know that SDPGA was formed.
Though we had a great vision we had the least expectations. But the launch of SDPGA provided the platform for all the right thinking doctors.
Fuelled by passion,aided by hard work of everyone and enthused by the overwhelming response of our members we held our first state ec at trichy on 6.6.2015.
SDPGA took its first small step by asking the retrospective implementation of g.o 245 giving time bound pay fixation from 23.10.2009(I.e the date of implementation of g.o.354) through a resolution dated 6.6.2015. This was presented to the Health secretary on 16.6.2015.
The Health secretary accepted it and promised to issue necessary clarification. Through our sustained efforts this clarification has come in the form of g.o 301 dated 6.10.2015 giving retrospective effect to g.o 245 from 23.10.2009. G.o 245 and subsequent g.o 301 has laid clear the principle of time bound pay fixation as we were asking for since 1998(when we were members of tngda)
This is the foundation on which we are going to build our demand of central parity in the 7 th pay commission. This historic foundation is achieved by the sdpga as an organization.
I salute each and every member for the unshakeable trust and the overwhelming support.
This victory strengthens our resolve to put our hearts,heads,and hands together and move forward to achieve all the goals we have set for ourselves in our second e.c meeting.
