Today 21/04/2017 SDPGA State President, State Secretary,State Organising Secretary & other office bearers met Health Secretary and submitted the memorandum of following demands.
- To abolish NEET UG and PG
- To promulgate special ordinance to the service drs rights during PG admission
- To bring necessary amendments in MCI regulations to give state service quota
We thanked him for appealing against the High court verdict.
During discussion HS deliberated about the protection of service people already given in the NEET UG/PG bills that are pending for president assent and there is no need for an additional ordinance.SDPGA clarified him that situation is when we oppose NEET pg.
We made him to understand that suppose having accepted the NEET exam, it is mandatory to preserve the state own admission policy through proper legislation.
He accepted our suggestion and said he would talk to the Chief secretary.
Also he informed us about the possibility of notifying the remote areas to other places soon.
We cautioned him that the agitation would be escalated day by day till we succeed in our demands. He expressed his willingness to find out the possible way by Tuesday through judiciary and legislative methods.
Till now Joint Action Committee/ Federation as suggested by SDPGA has not taken place.
SDPGA has decided to continue the two hours OP boycott from tomorrow till Tuesday.
Following Non cooperation movement will be started from Tomorrow indefinitely.
- Stopping all types of Teaching, Academic & training programs
- VIP convoy duties, health camps, disability camps
- Issuing certificates
- And very importantly CMHIS program.
To stop Elective cases on Monday and Tuesday.
Attention seeking demonstrations can be done wherever possible.
PHC medical officers can join the demonstrations done in nearby GH and medical colleges.
Further course of action will be announced on Tuesday evening.
